The Nemours Children’s Hospital at Lake Nona was established by the Alfred I. duPont Foundation to provide exceptional pediatric care for the central Florida community. The hospital campus, part of the Medical City, was designed as a ‘hospital in a garden’ for its unique site design containing green spaces for healing, respite and therapy.

SBP at Lake Nona houses a team of interdisciplinary researchers engaging in a collaborative approach to metabolic research to discover the origins of human disease. The research building was designed according to the architectural and urban design criteria of the Science and Technology District in Lake Nona and was the first of three research buildings clustered together in the emerging research sub-district with the Medical City.

The UCF Health Sciences Campus at Lake Nona includes the 170,000 SF medical school and the 198,000 square-foot Burnett Biomedical Sciences building. Located between the Orlando VA Medical Center and the research district, the campus serves as the hub of partnerships within Medical City. It was one of the first U.S. medical schools in decades to be established and built as a new institution. The location and design of the campus encourages the spirit of collaboration in Lake Nona.

The Valencia College Campus is a collaboration of educational and laboratory space as part of the Medical City complex. Phase I is an 89,000-square-foot building designed in a Pacific Northwest style, intended to meet the changing needs of the contemporary student. The campus is the core project within the Educational Village Planned Development in Lake Nona.
